Quick & Easy Salad with Chicken or Salmon

​Carbs higher than protein and eating lean and green majority of the time are the keys to keeping body fat low. You should eat one big salad every day, using organic lettuce or spinach. Add a lean protein, choice of nuts for a crunch and healthy fat, and any other fruit or veggies you like. Dressing should be made with ingredients you can read and low in sugar and fat. Bolthouse Farms has some good options. 
 
If you have the right ingredients on hand, a salad is faster (and healthier) than any ‘fast food’. This one is made with spinach, raspberries, blueberries and mandarin oranges and topped with chicken or salmon.
 
Quick and easy chicken/salmon: 
Sprinkle protein with Kosher salt and black pepper, a squirt of agave and squeeze lemon. Bake chicken at 400 for 20 minutes or grill salmon 20 minutes. 
 
Get creative! Just about any healthy leftovers can be made into a salad.
